I'm currently dealing with a non-car application of the hot/crazy scale, in the human subject involved is pretty high on both axes. With cars, at least the crazy part's usually more obvious. Anyone have any suggestions for notable cars on the graph?

Something like the Camry would be at the bottom left — not hot, but not crazy either. A Countach? Top right.

Hot but not crazy? I'd nominate the Aventador and Gallardo.

Crazy but not hot? ... mid 90's GM products?

Top Left

Kinja'd!!!

A little further right, still at the top.

I mean, hell, you could line up all Porschs just on a line going from 90% hot and 10% crazy (Original 911, 944) to 70% hot, and 100% crazy (RWB, Carrera GT, RUF CTR)

I would throw the viper more into the crazy category rather than the hot side.

Alfa Romeo 8C at the top in the middle. Super hot... not too crazy

The Miata would be in the exact middle. Not too hot, not too crazy, but a fun ride none the less.

I'd dip into that crazy. Without hesitation. Except for the Murcielago. It was kind of disappointing. I'd hesitate for a split second with the Murci.

I don't know, I thought the Murcielago was crazy looking enough. It was the most beautiful on the inside though .

A Miata is only crazy if you live somewhere that gets extended periods of deep snowfall. Otherwise, there is nothing crazy about owning a practical, reliable Miata.

Well, as it just so happens we get periods of deep snow downfall in Canada ;)

Awesome! I hope there was an engine swap, I picture that being on the slow side, but awesome none the less.

It was just REALLY heavy. Like 4000 lbs heavy. That's unacceptable in a car that's 400k.

That was the original. After that it shed about 200lbs(LP640) then another 400lbs(LP670). So it became a lightweight. As a childhood dream car, I feel like it is perfect. If I ever own one, the first thing I will do is reduce as much weight as I can, and put more over the front wheels as well. In any case it was still lighter than the Diablo

For more than a decade later it was a disappointing upgrade for me. I'm a very lotus oriented guy which might contribute to it somewhat.
The heart loves what it loves though so I don't begrudge people liking it (which there are cars that I do begrudge people for liking), but I don't expect it will ever be my cup of tea.

You know what is the funny thing? I am also a lotus type of guy. You will always have more fun in a light car. A light car with more power? Even more fun! It is just that this car is just something else, plus dat engine!

Also I am glad we have settled this like gentlemen.
